Duwiliella is a very famous waterfall in Sri Lanka. The meaning of Duwili is dust of water. Therefore several waterfalls in Sri Lanka are identifies as Duwiliella waterfalls. This Dhuwili Ella fall is situated at Sinharaja world heritage rain forest of Sri Lanka. Accessing to this waterfall is at Deniyaya - Pitadeniya entrance of southern side entrance to Sinharaja. Duwili Waterfalls is most beautiful and No 01 beautiful waterfall at Sinharaja Forest.
Other Several Dhuwili Ella falls (41m) are available in Sri Lanka. One of most popular Dhuwili Ella waterfall is situated at Kaltota closed to Balangoda. Kalthota Duwilifalls is at about 27 km faraway from Balangoda town in Rajawaka road. ‘Wanaspathi’ tale drama was shooting at close to this waterfall. Upper side of this waterfall there is a large reservation called ‘Samanala Wewa’.
Another Dhuwili Ella waterfall is at Neluwa area of Galle Sri Lanka. It can be identifies as Udagama Duwili waterfalls. It’s about 30m height.
Sinharaja has not only Dhuwili waterfall but also Kekuna falls, Pathnoya falls, Malmora falls, Brahmana falls, Galdoru falls, Uran Weyuna falls, Thattu falls and several falls.
All large waterfalls at Sinharaja can be viewed only in Pitadeniya entrance. Accessing is somewhat difficult with Rathnapura – Kudawa Entrance.
